There are good law firm leaders. There are great law firm leaders. What you want to strive for is to be a great law firm leader. Some say it is all about training yourself to be this way and acquiring some sense of discipline. True leaders are not born overnight. It takes time and patience to cultivate a true leader. It also takes experience. 3) You need to think how you would want to be treated. Do you want to be treated with respect, love, and kindness? DO you wany our clients to be treated this same way? You need to give the same out to those who work for you. Any will tell you this.
4) As you grow yourself, you need to grow your staff. Lead by example. You cannot expect your staff to do what you ask when you are not making an investment in your own personal growth.
5) Ask your staff for feedback. Ask them what you can do to improve things and yourself. Listen to what they are telling you. There is a difference between “listening and hearing” someone. You need to do both.
